11-20-25   THOUGHTS

Entering the Kingdom of Heaven is key to our reading today. Some things are mentioned that will keep one away, and some that will give an entrance!  Lessons come from both directions!
We must “ be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you;”  

Matt 5:17-20 ESV  "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.  18  For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.  19  Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  20  For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
2Pet 1:10-11 NASB  Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;      11  for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

Our Prayer:
O Father God, help us to live what we believe.  Help us to lift up Your name and the name of Jesus to our world.  May we be partakers of Your divine nature, as we love you with all of our heart, soul and mind.  We want eternity with You , O God!   Thank You for the living hope promise.  We pray in the name of our Savior,   Amen.
